Governor H.E Ali Korane today callled for unity among counties in Frontier Counties Development Council (FCDC). Speaking during a special retreat held in Naivasha, the Governor said the counties stood to reap heavily by working together.
Today’s retreat was organised by FCDC in conjunction with Water Sector Trust Fund and Ahadi Kenya.
The meeting was called to discuss an MoU to be signed between the Water Sector Trust Fund and FCDC counties.
The MoU is intended to make the two main parties development partners in the water sector; a partnership aimed at expanding water investments within FCDC counties.
Members of FCDC include Garissa, Turkana, Mandera, Wajir, Samburu, West Pokot, Lamu, Tana River, Marsabit and Isiolo. Samburu and West Pokot counties joined the group making the caucus to have a membership of 10 counties.
